Steve Austin was on Byte This Thursday and confirmed that he is in the process of working on a new movie, however, did not mention the title. Austin said that he wasn’t planning on making too many blockbuster movies in the future. He confirmed that he is in the process of developing “Stone Cold Beer” which is expected to be distributed via WWE.
Austin talked about the sheriff character that he is playing and explained that he was frustrated that his character was not allowed to get physical with the talent, so he approached Vince McMahon and said: "Hey, if I'm going to be the sheriff here, I've got to have my guns." Austin didn’t mean it literarily but that is what sparked the idea for the sheriff gimmick.
Austin said that he does not hold any animosity towards Triple H for the mocking promo that he cut making fun of his gimmick on the first RAW of the year. Austin said that he felt that it wasn’t the best time to poke fun at the gimmick, but that Triple H cut an excellent promo.
For those interested, Austin picked Goldberg to win the Royal Rumble.
